G'day CoachMJ, Thank you for your question. My tips are: Best picture: The Departed Best director: Martin Scorcese Best actor: Forest Whittaker Best actress: Helen Mirren Best supporting actor: Eddie Murphy Best supporting actress: Jennifer Hudson. Scorsese has never won an Oscar in a stellar career so this should be his year. I am tipping The Departed for the same reason in a year where there is no standout favourite. The results in the acting awards in the leadup ceremonies have been totally consistent with the exception of Alan Arkin at the BAFTAS. While you can never rule out a smoky, I think that the favourites should win. Regards
