I think most of America would vote for a black male before a white woman. People have it ingrained in their minds that men are more powerful and can protect them better than a woman could. I'm not saying it's correct, it's just how most people think.

I believe that Barak Obama would be easier for the American people to handle. Hillary can be quite sharp at times with others. It comes down to personality.

I think Americans would accept a White Woman more.

Its sad, cause Obama would do a much better job than Hilary.

I think in this case it is not about being a woman for Hillary. It is about being Hillary Clinton that seems to draw the most controversy.

If Obama runs, I would seriously consider voting for him.
I will not Vote for Hillary unless the republicans put someone up that is much less qualified.

Still wish Lieberman was in it. He would get my vote in a heartbeat!

I think the two candidates are the best choices available in a long time of contenders with the exception of Bill Clinton. However, I don't think that this country is quite ready to bestow that huge amount of power to a true African-American. Not now at least in my generation(I could be wrong). I'm a fan of Hillary Clinton as well. She's over qualified for the job. I say that it's a win-win situation as long as one of them get the Presidency.

It scares me to read all the plugs for Obama simply because he is a man. Obama doesn't have the experience or skills to lead this country yet. I'm not a Hillary fan, I usually vote Republican, but at least she is well prepared for the demands of the job. As for the "rag day" comment....she more than likely doesn't HAVE those anymore, but what an obsurd comment to make. Men have bad days too...without the "excuse" of having "rag days"...grow up.

Its a great question. In the past being a President meant something more. Now, they are more like a figurehead, puppet, scapegoat or scarecrow that is offered up to the public for approval. They have no real power other than that which is given to them by those who put them into office. Gender, culture, political affiliation, and nationality are all irrelevant. Primary is their loyalty to the group or party that wields the true power.

A Black male at the moment .
It is amazing what a lot of good a woman can do as a leader . Margaret Thatcher put Britain back on its feet and back on the world stage. She could have an abrasive personality when required .

A President should be elected on a platform not a personality

Personally I would vote Barak over Hillary, personality alone. I'm very torn over this, because the feminist in me says Hillary all the way, but I don't like alot of the things she says. Either way, if either of them run it will be a major step in the right direction.

    1) In the French vote, Segolene Royal, a woman, became 47% of the votes. So I think the French, at least, are prepared to have a woman as a president.
In Germany, there is a woman chancellor.
I do not understand why it could not be possible in the US. But maybe some people do not like this particular person.

    2) In Europe, we maybe do not have enough black people that we could find a candidate. But some of them are very popular. In America, there were already some very great black politicians. So why not vote one of them?
It could be that Barak Obama has better chances because he is not so well known as Hillary Clinton.

Anyhow, I wish both of then success.
And maybe some day runs a black woman for president?

Are you asking about gender/race tolerance or H clinton/Obama tolerance?

I have no problem w/ a female or black president....but have extreme problems with Bill's bitch and Bobambababobubba.

Stop putting words in my mouth w/ your "()"'s when you ask a question.

You might as well have asked: "Do you prefer red (burning puppies) or blue (drowning kittens)?"

    RED OR BLUE!!!! CHOOSE NOW!!!

    geez.

Are you asking if Amer is ready for a female or black pres or are you asking if Amer is ready for H clint or Obama?

Those are two COMPLETELY different questions.

I can only speak for myself. I would accept Obama first, not because of sex or race, but because Obama doesn't have a record of lying and being corrupt.

I have no problem with a white woman or a black man......that's just not important.

I have a problem with HILLARY CLINTON and BARAK OBAMA, the politicians and their socialist ideologies.

Race/sex: not important. Socialism: BIG problem

How about someone who can write properly, or at least proofread to the point that they don't post poorly-worded questions?
