    Dyspraxia is generally recognised to be an impairment or immaturity of the organisation of movement or motor development. Associated with this may be problems of language, perception and thought. Other names for dyspraxic include Clumsy Child Syndrome; Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD); Minimal Brain Dysfunction: Motor learning Difficulty; and Pereceptuo-motor Dysfunction.

    Dyspraxia is a condition that affects physical movement, speech and, in adults, swallowing.

    In children it becomes apparent when they have trouble making a full range of sounds and speaking at the usual ages. It can also occur in adults, usually as the result of a brain injury or stroke.
