Yes. And idiots (sorry if this is you) who buy it for themselves or their children just reaffirm that we're dumb enough to pay those prices for entertainment.

Yes. Especially considering the only PS3 game I want to get (GTA4) will be readily available on the XBox 360 as well.

Well, it depends on the person. For me, it is too much to spend on a game system, but I am really not into video games. On the other if you really enjoy video games, then it may not be too much. Consider, $10 for a movie ticket. So, that would mean up to 70 movies for an individual to equal the same cost. That is about 140 hours of entertainment. An individual would probably spend that much time on the game consul in the first month of ownership. The more people that use the game system, the faster it pays for itself in terms of entertainment dollars. Thus it is up to the individuals to decide if it is worth it for them. I don't consider it to be worth that much for myself. However, there are obviously lots of people out there who do consider it worth the price. If they did not, then it would not sell.
