The questions, depending on the subject, are there for a reason. not only questions concerning a given subject, but your answers tell a lot about you. My son took the SAT test in Alabama. his given test surrounded the weather. luckily, when he was younger, i had bought him a weather station game. he came out of the test stating that he had aced the test and he did. Like i said, the test reveils a lot about you, personally. this information is used to determine if you are college material.

G'day edpesoss134, Thank you for your question. The SAT seeks to identify students who will perform well in higher education by testing their ability to understand and solve problems. For this reason, it asks questions testing your skills in mathematics, critical reading and writing so universities can compare the abilities of their applicants. I have attached sources for your reference. Regards Wikipedia SAT http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scholastic_Aptitude_Test Collegeboard http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/about/SATI.html

I never really thought the SAT was that hard.

In many ways, the SAT is really testing a students drive to learn from a specific teacher (a promising quality for potential college students). All the SAT preparation guides and courses focus on the authors of the test; choosing what you think is the 'correct' answer is not as important as choosing what the test maker(s) are looking for.

The SAT isn't hard. Studying for it using boring study guides and thick practice tests just gives you the illusion that it is hard because they are so painfully boring and lame. If you want to see how good you really are/can be at the SAT I recommmend you play the board game SAT Game for Dummies. It uses all SAT questions, plus a timer so you have to work at test pace, but you can play it with friends or in a group in class, at home... I learned way more watching other people do questions than I did studying by myself and an hour went by super fast. Also, the questions are more interesting, like they refer to Eminem and 50 cent, instead of talking about "Joe" and "Sally" - you know what I mean? http://www.satgamefordummies.com
