Why is the sorry word commonly abused?

Sometimes people are truly remorseful and the sorry word is needed. On the other hand, some people use the sorry word to cover their true feelings. Out and out lie, if you will. As a mommy to a little child, "say you're sorry for hitting your brother". He's not really sorry. Just sorry mommy know's he hit brother.

because we let that happen.. most of the time when a person apologizes and u say its ok it turns into a routine.. u should be able to say no whenever you feel like that person doesnt deserve to be forgiven..

G'day Edpesoss134, Thank you for your question. There are some people who think that saying sorry will get them out of trouble when they don't change their behaviour. The true test of how sorry you are is how you behave rather than what you say. Regards
