I worked at a place once where the manager and one of the employees were seeing each other. She ended up transferring to a different location where he wasn't her boss anymore and they actually ended up getting married. Are you working in a chain, or a department from which you can be transferred? If so you can suggest this strategy to him and see how he responds. If his job being on the line is the only thing keeping you apart, that should solve it. If he is just interested in sleeping with one of his employees and is using you, he may find other excuses. AND, if he is just using you you should dump the bastard because you deserve better.

I was in the same situation some years ago. It was an unwritten rule that Fraternization in the workplace was forbidden. Once it was discovered that I was dating the "boss" I was given a choice. "Do you want to stay -as a part timer or do you think he should lose his full time job/career." It was a difficult situation and the decision was easy. I chose to leave my part time job so that he could keep his career. When I had asked him yrs later how he had really felt, he had stated that part of the excitement of dating me was the fact that it was "forbidden". Make sure that you have a discussion about how he feels about you and make sure you decide how much the job means to the BOTH of you in determining if you should continue seeing him at all. The basis of these rules are to avoid sexual harrassment as well as to ensure that all staff are treated equally and fairly and that there is no issue of favoritism. Good luck!
