You can start by telling the truth. Don't volunteer information to the defense, either. Follow the lead of the prosecutor. And relax. You aren't the one on trial!

Above all, be confident. If you are giving off a vibe of being scared, it will reflect in your testimony. You know you're doing the right thing and being honest so take solace in that. Secondly, be prepared with what you want to say. You may even want to write down a few ideas so that you'll be able to get your point across most effectively. I assume you're talking about the criminal case and not a small-claims case, so you probably won't have to do that much speaking. Start watching Judge Judy or The People's Court for ideas on what to do and what not to do. Good luck!
