That what goes around comes around, so I try to treat everyone nicely even if they treated my like dog poo. I have an example; last summer was my ten year class reunion. I was very unpopular and treated badly by a lot of the class, but I showed up anyways. Most of the ones that treated me badly are still jerks but I was nice to them anyway.

To keep in mind that there is always a solution to the problem and the best way to reach that point is to keep your chin up, deal with the problem head on, and you'll make it out A-OK if not wiser and stronger. Also that life always does get better.

Don't live alone share your life with someone, do your best it's always good enough, have no regrets, have patience with the old as you may be old one day, live each day like it's your last (it may be), love your kids and your wife without reservation, know that you are loved, love God's kingdom and everything in it, accept what you can't change - shit happens so don't try to make sense of it, there are ups and downs - things will change so be prepared, be happy with your children - they are yours to hold only for a short time.

To trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not to my own understanding that in all my ways to acknowledge him and he will direct all my paths. When I do this it always seems to work out. My wisdom is different from Gods's and when I ask for guidance of his wisdom it always works out and sometimes different than I could imagine.

When a good friend's husband makes a pass at me, don't tell the wife. This has happened 3 times to me. One husband actually flew to Sydney from New Zealand to try and see me. I told his wife who had been my friend for 20 years at the time. I never heard from her again. She obviously chose to forgive her husband or perhaps believe his lies. NEVER tell the wife, even when you are completely innocent. These incidents happened when I was in my 20s.
