I think I would. I can inadvertently pick up a different accent rather quickly. And, once I am back to the States, I would quickly drop the Australian accent so that I speak the American way again. Not all people are this way though. Some consciously defy acquiring a new accent when they are introduced to the new environment.

No I would not I spend half my life in England and half in the US when I am not travelling , but you would never pick me as an American , My accent is totally British

I probably would. I have a cousin who was born and raised in a Northern State. Moved to Tennessee after she got married and now talks with a more southern accent.

I think I would come back with some of their inflections and sayings. I collect these sorts of things.
