  • I just divorced my husband of 18 years. He was a jerk and I should have divorced him about 17 1/2 years earlier. Anyway I have found a wonderful man and we have been dating for about 7 months. Once I called him my ex's name and he was aggrivated; but just this weekend during sex I called him my ex's name again. My ex was named Steve and my new guys name is Scott, they just roll out the same, I can't tell you how many times I almost said the wrong name and caught myself. I am never thinking about my ex at the time, it is purely a fruedian slip, like calling your kids by the wrong name. But how do I stop? My boyfriend was very very upset!! I am so scared it will happen again I say "Oh Steve" like I would say "Oh God" during sex, you don't really think about what you are saying it just comes out. I am considering hypnotherepy...anything.. any suggestions? The last person I ever want to be with again is my ex. It is just a habit thing after 18 yrs.
