I use both, I actually have a dishmaster which has brush attachments to it. Its great for washing dishes. You simply turn on the hot water push the suds button and wash away, then rinse with the same brush without the suds. You fill the suds manually into its holding area with water and a little dish soap. It saves on water and on soap. They are pricy, about $180 and up.

Sponge scourer. I don't get on with brushes, they always seem to miss bits when I use them.

Scrubber sponge. Scotchbrite pad or Chore Boy for anything tough.

I use a brush i hate those sponges .

I use a the dog, then a pressure washer... lastly the dishwasher... if that is jacked I just slap her : )
