We circumcised a fish...

Animals aren't dissected in class any more in the UK, but when I was at school we had to dissect the eye of a cow. This was an extremely unpleasant experience. For one thing there was the vile smell composed of a combination of rotting flesh and the stuff they used to try to preserve it. Then there's the sensation of cutting, with our standard issue blunt scalpels, into an eye. A sort of sratchy gratey rubbbery sort of cut. I felt sick for the rest of the day.

We didn't dissect animals in my biology class. Even if we did I would be to squeamish to dissect an animal.
-
At Uni, we dissected a cockroach, starfish, snail, earthworm and a cane toad. The cockroach was the worst as it was very gooey inside. This was for a zoology class, so it was appropriate, and not gratuitous
-
I absolutely refused and they could not "make" me do it.

i had to disect a cat, In my Human Anatomy class I had to disect a human, ( a 86 year old women) I enjoyed it, I wanted to become a coroner.
-
We disected Frogs and Toads. I remember we had to write the life cycle of a frog for one Biology exam I was about 11 and not impressed
-
Yes. I enjoyed it. I always loved Biology. I disected an earthworm, a crayfish, and a bull frog. In advanced Biology I disected a small shark (never perforate the stomach... BLEH), a squid, cow's eye, a fetal pig and there was one other animal that we disected but I don't recall what it was at the moment. In Ag class I help to castrate young bulls. I love animals and while I can understand some people's aversions to and moral issues with disection I still believe for someone wanting to work in the animal or human medical field that it is truly important to work with the "real" thing.

Earthworm, cockroach till now. But I'm hoping to be a physician so I'd have to do it on a human one day.

we never did that.

I didn't have a problem. I already knew I was going to be a doctor, and I knew I'd have to take human anatomy!
