I don't have dimmers. But I do use candels every night. I love the ambionce.

I have several dimmer switches and yes they get used a lot.

Instead of installing dimmers - I have put in more lights than are really necessary in every room in the house. When all lights are switched on it is very bright indeed. But normally I switch on just one 14W CFL in each room. That way there is just enough light. Depending on the number of fluorescent tubes or CFLs switched on the brightness/dimness is adjusted.

Yes I just recently put recessed lights in my dineing and living room. I use them quite often.

We have dimmers in our kitchen, dining room, and family room and we like to dim them or use them at full capacity.
