I was having a cavity fixed, and the dentist hit a nerve with the novocaine needle, It felt like an electric shock and the wrong side of my mouth went numb. He started drilling and I screamed. He had to inject the first side again. It was traumatic.

Yes, actually - back in the day (early 70s), I was single and 7 months pregnant; the dentist said he didn't think I should have novocaine. He then proceeded to pull my infected molar without it. It was painful. To think back, that was also before women's rights kicked in in my small town...he probably beat his wife on a regular basis too...but I digress....

nope but my mum did. Doesn't work well on her anyway, but they did what they could, only managed half the tooth, so had to go back the next day. When they injected her again they hit a nerve or something and she passed out , as to much adrenelin. she was in agony !

When I was a kid we had a school dentist, and they drilled your teeth without anaesthetic, which wasn't pleasant. I've had stitches where the nurse was called away for a long while and by the time she did them the anaesthetic had worn off, but I just lay back and thought of Chuck Norris.

Not pulled out but I've had plenty of work done without anesthesia, including fillings

I had one where it completely failed to work until after I'd had the tooth out. That was pretty painful.
