They don't. There's no "rule of 3's" among OCD sufferers. But they may repeat various tasks or find it difficult to begin/change activities.

I dont do things in 3's. I hate odd numbers. So really no 3's !! bit annoying but not a lot can do about it . lol

It doesn't always have to be 3. I know that when I set my alarm clock, I turn it on and off 7 times. The way it's been explained to me is, that people who do things like that are making up for experiences in their lives where they had no control over what was happening (a car accident, getting mugged, any sort of bad, sudden experience). It is a way to balance in your mind the idea that there are things you can't control and there are things you can (like how many times you turn your alarm clock on and off).
