  • absolutely. some people take the phrase "the customer is always right" to a whole new level. there have been many days when its taken all i have not to tell someone where to go and draw them a map. but we just have to bite our tongue, smile and hope to run into them somewhere dark at a later date..lol
  • I did over 20 years ago. I was terminated. But I felt good about saying what I wanted to.
  • Yes, but usually after they buy something.
  • Absolutely, but I just walked away.
  • Nurses have to to wear the "customer service" attitude at all times no matter what we encounter with patients or families. We can get frustrated but we can never, ever let our frustration show. Often, families will call because they are worried about their loved ones and sometimes they become angry. We are to treat them and the patients with dignity and respect at all times.
  • Yes - some people just do NOT know where to draw the line. or they enjoy making the little people with Jobs squirm and really really work hard for their salary.
  • Yes. Quite a few of them have received a piece of my mind.
  • I'm lucky that I don't deal with customers. Some of the customer service vendors I have to call for service can use some customer service skills :-)
  • yeah but i find if you smile and kill them with kindness they get even more frustrated then they were from the start. you also look like the model employee so you piss the customer off and excel at your job at the same time.
  • i deal with people on my job. when they go over the line i tell them off. but before i do i always listen because they might be very upset about a real wrong that was done to them. most people r ok that i deal with.
  • im a bartender and i have ... sometimes it just calls for it. not like i curse or make jokes, just stand my ground.
  • Being an Ex-telephone operator for a hotel. When a client is upset about something, he usually picks up the phone and Being the first to answer (because dialing 0 is the easiest thing to do). I would usually get the brunt of the fusteration. My tactic would be is to let him let off steam. (that usually meant taking the phone away from your ear.) Eventually they have to take a breath and they always do (usually its a deep one because they are a little tired at this point.) This was my cue to placate them and then get to the route of the problem to help them resolve it. Yes they are usually still angry but much calmer. They want someone to hear them out. Noe if someone on the phone would personally attack me (calling me names and using fowl Language), they would get one warning for that behavoir to stop. Otherwise they would get disconnected. I have hung up on people when they got out of hand. I have even sent security on people. My job was to help you, not to get abused by you.
  • well no i havent i havent even got a job yet haha.but i was at my friends work and this costomer (one of my other friends) was very stuborn.and he got my friend mad and she was already having problems at the time. and she looked at me and i flipped out on him. and i told him that it was just food (she worked at a fast food place) and i shoved the tray against him took him to a table and pulled out the chair. then slowly walked away and my friend and everyone else was laughing. so yeah i flipped out but no one got hurt and no one got offened
  • Yes I do, I feel an overpowering urge to flip out at rude people sometimes, but it is more fun to just be super calm and kind, they hate that! :o)
  • Yes, I bite my tounge OFTEN!! And throw a compliment their way and smile til they get out the door will really throw them off.
  • Lord knows I do. Some of them are very irritating.
  • I have done this in the past and it is fun. Just make sure there are no witnesses, then you can deny everything if they ever make a formal complaint. If you feel you can't do this, watch Clerks, it will help.
  • I was in the military so I did go off on a few at times.
  • Ohhh bloody hell yeah! Some dickhead spilt milk on me and another fucking dropped a can of baked beans on my foot! DO YOU KNOW HOW PAINFUL THAT IS??? grrrr
  • Not yet. Been working for a 1.5 years now. If a customer has a problem then either I provide a work-around the problem or put it on the list of things to fix as soon as approved by the management.
  • LMAOROTF
  • Yes. Some of them are just so rude. Its pretty hard to get me to that point but some of them push it. Heck the employer is enough to make me want to go off. I worked for this one guy at a pool store he brought his stupid dogs to work for 9 hours and didn't let them out. They would pee and poop on the floor and he would get mad about it and yell at them..HMM...lets see..take your dog out idiot. Lets see you hold your pee/poop for 9 hours. Ha ha...
  • i dont have a god so no.
  • When I worked at a grocery store,,, all the time!
  • Well, I work in cancer research but this week 2 separate people damaged 2 separate lenses on one of my microscopes. That will cost about £3000 to repair. I was fairly livid. In my younger years I worked in a pub, a bakery and a restaurant. In each of those there were at least one occassion where my manager "advised" to go and get some fresh air out the back because customers had wound me up. I'm quite laid back but if someone does manager to anger me, I really go for it! Never caused me to get disciplined though. My managers always seemed understanding that these customers were dicks!
  • I'm an administrative Assistant for a debt collection agency so I don't have external customers to deal with. I deal with all levels of management and the collectors themselves and there are a few I have wanted to punch in the face on more than one occasion.
  • Yes, especially those who ask the dumbest of questions. An example would be asking the location of a product which they can see.
  • Hard to do in a police uniform. Its really hard to control your emotions when i see a child that has been killed by its parents. I hope you understand.
  • Yes. I even have a few times. There are some people where it is better in the long run that they do not remain customers. One of the set backs of owning your own business is that you have to kiss butt more often than the employees. One of the benefits of owning your own business is that you get to make the call on the few that are truly worthy of telling them like it is.
  • YES! and on the occasion when I worked in jobs where I dealt with people face to face on a daily basis, you soon enough get the opportunity to deal with some jerk that will push you to your limits. I've been threatened, cussed at, you name it....only for doing my job. I could tell story after story but I'll just say, I've learned to pick my battles (ignorant assholes are unavoidable, save your energy for the big assholes) and learn legally where you have rights. I have on occasion had a really bad customer or two where I clocked out, and had a "conversation" with them outside of my business...the satisfaction of someone being scared that you might retaliate because they thought you couldn't is quite rewarding. I understand customer service and all that, but some people think they can act, say or do whatever they want to a person working and it's ok, because the person is on the clock. Employees have rights too and there is an unacceptable limit of harassment one can be subjected to. Honestly people like that who treat people like shit in their place of employment only because they think they can get away with it, might one day push someone over the line and that person might decide their job isn't worth the abuse and go postal on their ass...and they would probably deserve it.
  • I used to work at a grocery store and there was many people I would have liked to go off on. Mainly they didnt pay attention to signs, they didnt know the deals correctly even though there was signs pointing right at them and then they wanted free food. They didnt listen, they were rude and snobby...and thought I was stupid or something cuz I worked at a grocery store and thought its all I could get...even though I didnt even need a job and just worked cuz I wanted to work and liked my job. And then the people who complained about EVERYTHING. "They dont have this" (one day) nextday (they dont have that) The plates arnt small enough...blah blah blah. And then the people who would come in ith bogus checks, return food that they took from the store...theifs, and liars...lol. It was crazy. Or people with food stamps who would take stickers off the catfish and put it on the lobster and try to get away with it. ERRR...your getting it free anyways why steal it also?>!?!?!
  • I work at a municipality so yeah almost every day I want to rip a customer a new one!
