  • My great-grandmother was a full blood Navajo and we also have Cherokee blood, too. Now, I don't remember any of us being ASKED, but most of us don't like the white-guilt term 'native American'. They aren't called 'native reservations', after all. We are American Indians. With America as a geographical adjective as opposed to American as a noun of identification. No one asked.
  • It is a true statement....American indians were just as warlike as europeans, there is documentation of many villages being exterminated by other tribes.... Jacques Rosseau started the myth of the pacifist Native American.
  • I think no one has the right to put labels on them, good or bad. They are just people like the rest of us.
  • I think it is not wise to label ALL Native Americans with such a broad brush (if at all). There were many different groups living in the Americas before the European invasion. Their beliefs and practices, as well as levels of aggression were no doubt widely varied.
