  • is it for drugs?
  • Firstly know matter what your daughters behavior in the past ( If she has stolen in the past and been proven guilty)it is important to think clearly. You most probably had a good search for the items. In the morning or evening when you are fresh make another search as a last resort. Do not get law involved. You assume items to be pawned. Check at the pawn shops before involving law. Even if you called the police they could not arrest her without good reasoning. You need to ask her politely if she had a need to take anything and if so you could tell me I could of helped in a different way.
  • Those are pretty drastic actions to take for just thinking that she did it. If you actually catch her doing it, what would you do, shoot her?
  • I would first think why I thought it was my daughter. Then based on that, ask her if she did pawn your possessions. If she has issues that are beyond what you can do to help her, I would state that at this time you do not feel comfortable with her visits to the house. Change the locks and if any additional incidences occur-I would seek the intervention of the local police. Keep a diary of what you have and what you think has been taken. Document, document. Don't be fooled by "titles" in your life. Your daughter is a "person" now. Don't let the title of what she is to you affect the way you handle things. You need to be safe and feel safe in your home and above all know that when you leave everything is where YOU left it. I wish you the best!
