If he agrees to give you custody then there is no prob. If he fights you, you may have a problem being being in a deployable unit. If you have help from family members when you are deployed that might help. You are going to have to show that he only sees the child one time a week when you are stateside. It would be a fight, but if you are primary care giver when you are stateside then you may get a good chance even if he only has primary custody when you are deployed that might work too.
