maybe part of the reason that Bin laden is still alive is because Bush can always point to these threats as justification of his failed waste of billions of dollars on a pointless war. how many times over the last year have we had some kind of scare speech whenever they were failing miserably on the domestic front? All I know is that I know a few marines. And I have been told that they had Bin Laden pinpointed and a strike force could have taken him for over 6 months. Bush refused to allow it. That was over a year ago.

Yes of course he cares. It is a stain on his Presidency that he would certainly rather not have. His record is going to read even worse because he could not rid the world of Bin Laden.
