Question

Help answer this question below.

Why is it that when someone puts their heart out there and ask some serious questions that are hard for them to ask no one rates it or no one really pays attention to it? (I've noticed a lot of playful questions get high ratings and lots of answers.)

Playful questions are sometimes very easy to answer. The harder questions make many uncomfortable, because they don't know how to answer.

it easy to answer playful, tricky questions than a tough and serious queestion bcoz 1st, you dont know exactly what is the situation and 2nd, it will make and give you a hard time of thinking to carefully answer that question avoiding much damages or confusion to the person asking the question...

Serious questions are much more difficult to tackle.
And playful questions are fun and quick to answer.

I do think we should make more of an effort to answer the more serious questions to.

It's just I love answering the fun questins too but I also try to answer all the serious ones I can because I know that's why many other people and myself come to AB to get things off their chest and have other people to talk to about it and when their questions go unrated and unanswered it's hard (makes you think no one cares or no one wants to help with what you have to say.) And sometimes questions about specific situations are difficult to answer because we don't see the whole picture so it's not easy to formulate an opinion.

- True but you could always ask while your asking the quetsion or you could just rate the question to let that preson know it was a good question and make them feel like someone out there cares. Thanks for answering.

It depends. Are you asking the question for an answer or are you trying to bump up your points and rating? Often times, the person with the answer hasn't stumbled upon it or found it in a search yet.

Maybe if you reword your question and submit it in a slightly different category?

If it is a really serious question, perhaps the Internet is NOT the best venue for advice. Otherwise I would advise you to practice patience.

- Well first it's for other people and myself not for points I don't care too much about the points but AB is somewhere you can get things off your chest and have other people in the world like you to talk to. I see a counsler I ask the same questions to BTW but it feels better hearing other people care about your questions and see other people with a story or problem like yours. I'm a patient person but when months go by and people want to play more than help it gets a little frustrating and don't get me wrong I like to have fun and answer the playful ones too but I make sure I try to answer the serious questions that I know too. Oh and if you put them in a category they don't belong in you could get it flagged which means your question is pretty much deleted. Thanks for answering and good luck to you too. SWABBY!
