No. I played Pokemon Red before, and as much as I love role playing games, I just couldn't stand the content. And I got my ass kicked by this thing called a Jigglypuff. I'll never live that down, seriously.

I've got yellow, the one with pikachu. I'll play it on family trips, if I don't have a book around. It's pretty low-key. I had gold, I think, with the pokemon that are different at night? and all these new ones that I had no idea whether they were weak starter pokemon like pidgey, that never really got super-powerful, or if they were the sorts like magikarp that you just had to babysit for a while and then they one-shot the entire trainer challenge... /nerd
