Goat cheese, cranberries and nuts of your choice Another good idea is one that I used to serve at my restaurant: Cut a head of romaine in 1/2 the long way, drizzle with olive oil, S&P and place on very high heat grill or grill pan just enough to leave good marks. In a side bowl mash some soft cheese of your choice, maytag bleu or gorgonzola, etc, and mix with balsamic viniagrette(not vinegar) Place lettuce marked side up and pour cheese and dressing over. Great for presentation too... Hop you enjoy!

Look up thai or vietnamese salad recipes. I love the one that has cilantro, garlic, sugar, fishsauce, green papayas and chilies. Also, add walnuts and apples, or mangoes to your ordinary salad. MMMM!

Try this carrot and raw papaya salad. 4 tbsp Grated raw papaya 1 Carrot, cut lengthwise 1 tbsp Lemon juice 1 tbsp Chopped coriander 1 tbsp Chili sauce 2 Red chilies, chopped Mix all the ingredients together and serve chilled.Carrot and Raw Papaya Salad is ready.

I've recently been adding diced jalapenos and some cayenne for a spicy salad.

my salads start as lettuce, then get cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, cucumber slices, radish slices, a little green onion, some bell pepper, a few sprouts, some brocolli, some cauliflower, some more shredded carrot, some more cherry tomato. at the salad bar, i go balls out!! then i start adding the cheeses and dressings!
