How come when you have kids all you do is clean?

I think a messy child is one that has alot of energy and lots of ideas, thought pulling them in many directions. But you also answered your own question with your question. You always are cleaning because you always are cleaning. They know Mom/Dad will clean up so thats why they don't. Maybe they arent aware of their mess or how it makes you feel. Children are supposed to be messy, its part of the freedom of a child but teach your child to be organized and clean up after themselves at an early age and it will be tremendously beneficial in their adult life in many ways, more than you can imagine.

It's just the way it is. I heard a saying once "cleaning your house when children are growing, is like shoveling snow while it's still snowing".
