  • I have done that before and will do it again and again.
  • I would give them a ride to my favorite shelter, they supply the coats, food, a place to stay if the person wants, and sleeping bags if they don't :)
  • Why am I walking down the street? If I saw a cold homeless person I would give them my coat but it wouldn't be because I was walking down the street. I don't walk down the street where I live.
  • You know whats the hardest thing about being homeless? Your beat--all you want is some sleep--you lay down on a park bench and a bunch of ratty teenage kids come to you and throw glass emty soda bottles at you and call you the f**k name. After 15 minutes they leave you to bother someone else. You think to yourself--Where are there parents--out smoken pot somewhere? Then you lay back down; in about 5 minutes a cop hits you with his stick saying get up no sleeping here. You think to yourself maybe the cop works with the kids against us bumbs? If you want to give out a coat that decent of you but then you will be cold--so you keep your coat. Some bumbs are decent while other ones are not. Its hard to tell the differance between them. This way of life copys society in general. How would you survive?
  • Of course. I always feel so bad when I see a homeless person. Many people have the wrong idea about them and think they are just lazy bums. While in reality most of them have mental disorders that really prevent them from working. I have done some studies on this, and worked with them one semester in college. People need to grow some hearts and be thankful for their lives! Good question +3
  • No,but I'd help him get one.
  • Yes, temporarily. I would let him/her wear mine all the way to the Salvation Army store, where they could pick out their own coat, and I'd buy it for them. There's no reason for one or the other to be cold. +5
  • Hmmm...Well, I have one but that sucker cost a bundle back in 1996 and yes, it's STILL in great shape (Did -20 3 years ago with NO problems) I think I would IF I had a spare back at home. Heck, the coat went for $150 back then..So yeah it's NOT a "Cheapie"
  • Yep. Just like I did when a dog was doing the same thing.
  • Of course.
  • No. he needs more than a coat. I would call a cab and take him to the nearest homeless shelter. There, he would receive hot food, a bath, clean clothes and a coat of his own.
