  • I can't say I hate them, but they're certainly not up to the standard the first trilogy set. At least the new titles are visually very rich. And the music's well composed.
  • I have to agree with you there. I loved the originals and even liked the updated versions they re-released in the late '90s (was nice to see them on the big screen). The music was decent in the new trilogy but the thing that irritated me most of all was Jar Jar Binks and his babytalk blather that was almost impossible to understand. Oh how I wanted him to eat a lightsaber!
  • the new ones kept up and IMPROVED upon the high-quality special effects. the opening battle in space scene in the final (new) movie blew me away as much as the originals did when they break new ground in SFX! and the music was just as good; sends chills down the spine in places. if you let it remind you, the new movies constantly hearken "forward" to the old ones, when you constantly remember it isn't actually Anakin who is the chosen one (who will bring balance to the Force) but his kids--no one in the prequels saw that coming, but we did
