  • It's better than the lamb roast with Tom Cruise. At least Sam is an Aussie. What makes you think that it is a govt sponsored ad - I thought it was the MLA (Meat & Livestock Australia) that put it on. What part do you find offensive? I must say that I've only seen it once so I might have missed something. Cheers!
  • Its a long drawn out boring advert, offensive yes A carnivore is an animal that gets food from killing and eating other animals. Not a good thing I am vegetarian
  • Since when does your national spirit have anything to do with eating an infant mammal? I'd not go so far as offensive but the idea irritates me, and that "Lamb is the Australian meat!" thing is just STUPID... I can understand how some people find it offensive.
  • No I don't find it offensive, funny the first few times and pretty boring after that, especially when it is on every ad break. But not offensive. They are trying to sell more lamb meat. It is not different to Dave Hughs selling Holden Cars last year using icons like Syndey Harbour Bridge, the Beach, Melbourne Cup too I think....At least they are acknowledging Asutralia Day which is more than some 'Aussies' do.
  • I don't find it offensive at all, a little puzzling maybe, but CERTAINLY not offensive :D I understand how people can dislike the ad (its annoying), or like, vegetarians being annoyed by it, but if anyone is actually 'offended' by it... They have no idea what a real offence is IMO :D
  • Well, I haven't seen it, but I have a problem with the whole "Lamb" industry in Australia now after watching a video on the horrific treatment of sheep there. And I hate that the government are basically endorsing that treatment while seeking to profit from it. They suck on so many levels I couldn't even begin to list them here.
