Contact your landlord immediately, explain to him/her what happened, apologize and hope that an arrangement for payment can be worked out, including bank charges he will face and even some interest.
Don't do it again!
unless your bank chooses to cover your mistake, temporarily, it will refuse to pay the check, and will charge you a fee for overdrawing your account, and return the check to your landlord's bank. your landlord's bank will charge HIM a fee for sending them a check that bounced and I imagine he will want you to reimburse him in the future and pay with a cashier's check in the future.
take a personal finance class. if you don't have enough money in your account to cover ever single check you've written, all on the same day, the money wasn't "in there"

You're reading Ok, i wrote a check for my rent and I think its going to bounce. What will happen if it does? Will i go to jail for writing a "bad" check? I mean, i have the money in there, but some transactions came out and now i dont have enough money in the bank.
