Since I haven't read but the first half of the first book, I can't really judge it based on the series, however I can tell you that I greatly enjoy the series. While the first few episodes were a little shaky, and at times a bit cheesy, from the third episode on the show really hit its stride. The acting is very good, and by the finale of the first season, the main actors, (Craig Horner, Bridget Regan and Bruce Spence) have truly become the characters. I have bought the first season on DVD, and I plan to watch the second season, coming out soon.

What do you think of those Abs on Craig,(in the Mord Sith / Deena epi.'s) at first I thought they must be doing a CGI overlay but after seeing it 3 times I start to think that it really is just his real flesh and now I wonder how he keeps them that way and still has time to act.

Haha, I thought so too, at first! I have to wonder if maybe its in his contract somewhere. "You must spend ungodly amounts of time at the gym in order to keep your role"
