well a big reason why its not as popular here is they nerfed all of the rules.hockey is boring now for as much as i love it.no fighting and u can barely touch anyone.i want it all back the way it was.

1. No National television coverage. 2. No greedy, big time stars who hate fans. 3. The strike hurt. 4. Unless you live in a hockey city, no sports coverage in the newspapers or local news. 5. Unless you live in North Carolina or Nashville, most sports fans never heard of the Hurricanes or Predators.
