  • Yeah... But I can't remember them now!
  • i dont really remember them doind it. so probably
  • Not that I can recall, I don't even remember my mother coming into my room, merely sending me to bed.
  • (smile) My mom may have,..she was an elementary teacher. I don't really remember. The stories I remember were 'told' not read...by my grandpa. He was my "babysitter" when my parents were out. This was before TV, if you can imagine such a time. I was probably always asking for stories, but he didn't seem to mind. When Jack Benny, George and Gracy, and Gunsmoke were over on the radio,..it was time to hit the sack. The cocoa was made and the fireplace was stoked. Then came the stories...I know now that he was talking about some things that had happened to him when he was a kid in frontier days in Oklahoma Territory...before statehood. I wish I could have remembered them well enough to write them all down. But, I was only four or five at the time. I was being taught living history at a young age...but didn't know what it was.
  • No, my sister did
  • No. But I used to read bedtime stories to my brother and sister. I liked it.
  • Very rarely. I wish they had done it more often.
  • If you mean when I was already in bed, no. But before it was bedtime, out in the living room, yes. Happy Saturday! :)
  • No. I read to my daughter amost every night.
  • Read no but my grandma used to tell us a story most evenings.
  • My mother did. But only once in a while. I do remember that I used to love it whenever she did read to us. That's why I read to my children every night and they love it :)
  • My parents didn't but I still grew up enjoying reading.
  • My parents always read to me before bed until I was about 7, and then they would have me read on my own every night before bed. After that, in school I was always more advanced in reading and writing. Someday I will do the same with my children....
  • I don't remember them reading me stories at bedtime, but I would read my books to them before I would go to bed.
  • Yes...I loved that.
  • My daddy did, but it was never "bedtime stories". He recited poetry ("Gunga Din" was a favourite), or we read books together, like "The Hobbit" and Steven King novels.
  • My mom read to me all the time, although she was not a fluid reader, until I became old enough to read to myself. Now, I still read to my son, who is an exceptional reader. I make him let me read. (poor kid)
  • yes they did and i used to like them a lot and i also used to insist them to narrate more and more stories that is the reason i loved Bedtime Stories - the movie, it made me remember my childhood days
