It happens quite often. Women are often not given certain jobs, etc and that is wrong. In the court system it varies largely depending on the type of case. In terms of child custody issues, actually men are the ones discriminated against. In terms of domestic violence issues it varies. Violence against women is fairly and sadly common, but there are times when men are abused (though most men are embarassed to report it because of society) and sometimes women are the initators. In terms of emotional drama, that occurs quite often. One of the problems is women are more likely to file complaints, sue, etc than men. Obviously it is necessary to do that when discrimination has occured, but some judges, etc also have a "cried wolf" mentality. You have to pick your battles. Discrimination, harrassment, etc are serious social issues which affect all races, genders, and walks of life.
