  • Most cars have o2 sensors on the exhaust manifolds, and on the exhaust pipe behind the catalytic converter. Check out www.autozone.com They offer free online service guides that show these sensor locations, and may just have the one you need.
  • i have a 97 mercury grand merq.bank 1 sensor 1 where it located i have dueler exhust.
  • One is easy to find - right at the bend of the exhaust pipe below the transmission bell housing. There are three more - one more on the left and two on the right. All three of the remaining ones are on top of an exhaust pipe making them dang near impossible to get to and totally impossible to unplug. The next one for the left bank is just before the catalytic converter on the left bank exhaust pipe - the two pipes join just before the muffler. The two on the right bank are just before and just after the catalytic converter on the right frame rail just behind the wheel housing. I think these are unplugged via access hole in the passenger floor - remove trim and carpet to access (I'm in the middle of this so I'm still checking).
