My apt did that one time. Everytime I would flush the toilet or it would rain, water backed up in the kitchen sink and bathtub (to the top).. The main pipe was stopped up. Roto Rooter had to come out and do something cause even the snake pipe didn't work. YOu are probably going to half to call the professionals.

It does sound more like a vent issue if you have worked the snake as you indicated. Depending where you are, snow or ice may have blocked it. If you cannot get to the roof to take a look, you may just have to flush and drain as the system allows until things thaw. Good Luck!

Does your home have only 1 vent? If you have 2 vents, and all facilities are slow, you have a clog farther down in your line. Ive had clogs (in the city) where my mine joins the sewer, and (in the country) where my line joins the septic tank.
