We are all posting here on computers that most of us own. There are people in this world with no electricity. Everyone here is relatively privileged
-
More or less. I'm a White Australian man, so I've won lotto in a lot of respects.
-
I'm alive aren't I. Yes.

Here's something I found years ago, and always remembered. "If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following:There would be: 57 Asians. 21 Europeans. 14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south. 8 Africans. 52 would be female. 48 would be male. 70 would be non white. 30 would be white. 70 would be non Christian. 30 would be Christian. 89 would be heterosexual. 11 would be homosexual. (One poor guy won't get any!) 6 people would posses 59% of the entire world's wealth and all would be from the United States. 80 would live in substandard housing. 70 would be unable to read. 50 would suffer from malnutrition. 1 would be near death, 1 one would be near birth. 1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education. 1 would own a computer. When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need for acceptance, understanding and education becomes glaringly apparent. ____________________________________________________________ The following is also something to ponder... If you woke up this morning with more health then illness...you are more blessed then the millions who will not survive this week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...you are ahead of 500 million people in the world. If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death... you are more blessed then three billion people in the world. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer then 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish somewhere...you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. If your parents are still alive and still married...you are very rare, even in the United States and Canada. If you can read this letter, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed then over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all. What goes around comes around, work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching, sing like nobody's listening. Live like it's Heaven on Earth." So, I think I am. >_>
-
Not in a long time.
-
I'm answering this question by using my reading/writing skills, on a computer. What do you think?
-
I'm alive, healthy, fed...I even have a little fun now and then! You bet your boot I'm privileged.
-
More than most, and very thankful for it.
-
I have food, shelter, warmth and water. Therefore I am privileged.
-
Yes, I think I am blessed to have everything I need.
-
I really am. I have so many people that I love and that love me. I can eat when I wish to. I can come and go with freedom. I have a job that I love. Above all, I recognize my happiness.
-
No, not yet.
-
I am privilidged living in America - the best country in the world, not being American born. :)
-
My computer says I am and they *NEVER* lie! pffffffffff
-
Yes. I've given myself absolute privileges in all aspects of my life, provided I'm willing to take responsibility for my actions/inactions.
-
A little bit.
-
If you mean financially then yes..if you mean in general..no :)
-
nope
-
I'm not privileged in any way, shape, or form. No silver spoon or special treatment in my little part of the world.
-
...absolutely! I am white...educated...live in a place of my own...food on my table...a job...family & friends...health...all my teeth...freedom to speak...electricity...indoor plumbing...I truly could go on & on ad nauseum...I try to live my life in an attitude of gratefulness...(but trust me...with all this abundance, I still forget & get petty & complain)...
