Education: is for users to learn from. Conversational:is for abstract chatty type questions. Thats my interpretation. Dont let it bother you, they are very rarely used.

Someone here had a great idea, I'll try to explain it. If you choose one when you answer a question this will be a flag to you that you have already answered the question. I know it sounds retarded, but I often wonder whether I have answered a question before. I confuse easily :( And, If you look on the main page there is a link to click to show only educational questions.
