  • No, I think banning stick-thin models is way over the line. What we have to do is show there is a *demand* for non stick-thin models. Support publications that do not show stick-thin models. When people put their money where their mouth is there will be change. Let the free market work its magic.
  • Despite the fact that I think many of them look far too anorexic, I'm going to say no. When a company is trying to sell a product it wants to put the best face on that product, and we tend to equate the minutae of an advert with the product, so a beautiful fast car driven by, Johnny Vegas (or US equivalent) will not sell the car as well as the same car driven by Naomi Campbell. Having said that, Johnny DOES advertise tea, as does Stephen Fry, so there are 'normal sized' people out there, just not many women.
