Nope, and I’ve heard that since the government stopped giving kickbacks for installing them, they don’t tend to be a particularly good investment. On the other hand, a recent newsletter from my electric company had an article about a few local people that have installed solar panels and produced so much electricity that they actually sold it to the company! If that’s the case, I might actually be interested in pricing them!

No. The issue is that they are up to $1000 per panel and when you ad the cousts of batteries, inverters and chargers you're in excess of $20,000. I pay $100 a mont for electricity and I don't have to do any maintenance. It doesn't make good, practical sense unless you are rural, live in an area with frequent elecrical grid failures or you have lots of money and you're curious. I don't know of a single solar home in my area.
