  • Why is your dad waking you up? I assume it's time for you to get up, but you didn't make it clear. Insomnia is something you really should see your doctor about, especially as severe as you are describing. Lack of sleep can really make a mess of your life - you can't concentrate or think clearly, you forget things, make mistakes - at least I do those things when I haven't slept enough. I'd recommend you take this problem seriously, and see your doctor.
  • Fuller. Some on AB must think I am an old geezer who rattles on too much. Let me tell you a few things about getting to sleep. Firstly, listen to the experts, if that doesn't work, try things that worked in the old days. Reading in bed can send you off pretty quickly if you are a reader. Listening to the radio, turned down so you have to concentrate to hear what is on. lastly, lay on your bed in the best position which is comfortable to you, look up at the darkened ceiling, do not blink, slumber will follow.
  • Just think of these
  • Sleeping pills?
  • find a boring book and read a little before bed and take a couple days off, think about something in your life that might be causing you to stay awake
  • Hard physical exercise. No lie! Try it!
  • If you are eating properly and getting plenty of exercise but STILL have problems getting to sleep, then you may have some serious problems which need evaluation. This my be caused by psychological stresses or physiological reasons (stress related, chemical imbalance, hormones, diet, exercise, or illness), or some combination. Get it checked out. This is serious because your health is in the balance. There are some things your body can only do while you are asleep when it comes to your health.
  • Is your father John Travolta?
  • You need a sleep study to determine why you are not sleeping. Tell your dad, tell your mom, tell a friend or tell a teacher. just tell someone. This is not normal.
  • Count sheep
  • I have done some thinking since I answered your cry for help and have come up with Sleep Apnea ? Apparently some of us stop breathing whilst asleep, Tests show that some stop breathing up to five hundred times a night. You wake up exhausted because your body has been fighting to keep you alive all night. You can be tested for this and if you do have it, you can be cured. Look it up. Sleep Apnea I think.
