Women live to feel wanted and accepted. When men who seem to show an interest don't follow up on that, women feel cheated.

I think women just want some respect, because let's face it, there are a lot of selfish jerks out there who don't know what it means to be a "gentleman". I don't think they're desperate, they're just naturally frustrated and disheartened.

Women full in love easier than men. Lets face it ladies guys want want thing for the most part. Is that waht you want, and accept. A quick hello on the phone is all you have to worry about??? If that is the only thing your woman complains to you about count your blessings. I get notes telling me what I do wrong everyday.

They're not all desperate for attention. Some just like to talk to them ... just like they like to talk to their girlfriends. It's a bonding thing.

Not all woman do. I'm quite happy for a partner to do his own thing and call me when he is not busy or just feels like it.

It is not all women...and sometimes it is the opposite...they wish the man would stop calling all day.....

It all comes down to DNA. If you are an evolutionary biologist (HINT - Creationists beware) you would say that all relations between men and women are breeding strategies. It's all about reassuring the continuance of your genes. YOUR genes. The strongest and fittest genes. So, evolution favored men who would breed continuously - by finding many partners and impregnating them. Evolution also favored women who were able to nurture their young and bring them safely into adulthood - thus into the breeding cycle. Fast forward to the modern world where we still have the same DNA that we had 30,000 years ago, only years of "civilization" has changed the need for these survival and breeding strategies. We are left with vestiges of those strategies in that women tend to bond very closely to people (because their ancient ancestors who did this were successful and their genes live in us today) and are perceived to e clingy. And men are out trying to impregnate as many females as possible (because their ancient ancestors who did this were successful and their genes live in us today) and are perceived to be uncaring creeps.
