Not f*cking small enough in my opinion, or we wouldn't have a problem

The world seems to be getting smaller everyday. We come into contact with different people and cultures on a daily basis. I talk with people all over the world, real-time. On the other hand, sometimes the distances can be overwhelming, especially when you need to give a friend a hug.
-
Yes it is, I have met people in Australia I have met in America and England. It seems today almost every country you visit you meet a person or people you know
-
Yes. Technology makes it smaller every day.
-
yes, it is
-
Yes, I would say it is. I can't count the numeber of times I have run into people I know in the most unlikely places--I can't really explain it otherwise. Too small.
-
It is IF you believe your world consists only of those things and people directly involved in it.. But just for fun, to take it *literally*... Considering that the Earth is part of the Solar System which is part of the Milky Way which is part of the Local Group which is part of the Local Supercluster (which spans across about 100 million light years) which is part of the visible universe-- Yes.
-
Yes it is, we are a happenstance fungus floating on a pebble through the vastness of space.
-
oh yeah, the things i have found out in the last 6 months is amazing, everybody is linked to someone esle in another part of my life etc. amazing!
-
Yes, especially with the advent of globalization, the world has shrunk, and in the words of Thomas Friedman, it has also gone flat. With Disneylands in France and Japan, I wonder what Walt Disney would think if he were alive today?
-
It certainly is - and I can move around this cyber globe at the flick of a computer switch. Incredible. I am just saddened that schools do not concentrate more heavily on geography along with each country's culture, ways of life, food, rituals, clothing, religions. The more we understand each other the closer the whole world becomes.

The internet makes the world seem A LOT smaller..
-
I guess it depends on your own world. To some, it is. To others, it's vast. I'm one of those "others".
-
Size is relative, a matter of opinion
-
Not as small as Pluto - the demoted it 'cos it was too small to be called a planet - the CHEEK of it!!! :((
-
Nope. It has stayed the same size for 4.7 billion years ;)
-
It's a small world when i see some of my friends at the stores i go to!
-
It really is, when you meet a friend half way around the world. Or when you compare it to the galaxy or no the universe or wait parallel dimensions. The planet is the size of an electron when you think of the big picture.
-
Next to Arcturus very small.
-
Yes but I wouldn't want to paint it.
