just to let you know for somebody to answer the question.we would have to know what kind of amp do you have.Like how many watts is the amp.just because if you hook up to small of wires to the amp it could caught on fire.Like I have a 900 watt amp whats needs a 4 gauge Power wire and a 4 gauge ground wire.Do you have all the right wires for your amp.

The is how you hook up a car amp.you would have to take the red wire watch is your power wire.hook it to your amp that should say pwr.the red wire should have a little fuse box on it.you need to run the red wire to the battery.but you have to hook it to your + battery cable.Then you would need to take a little small wire and run it in to you amp that should say rem.then take the wire and run it two the back on your car radio to a blue wire that should be called a amp turn on.Then You would need to take a brown wire that is your ground wire and hook it up to your amp that say grd.then you would have to take the other end of the brown wire and ground it some where in you car.to ground your wire it has to be metal to metal.you would have to screw down the ground wire.then take your Rca cables and plug them in your red and white RCA jacks on you amp.then take the other end and hook them up to the back of you car radio where it should be a red and white rca jack that should have SW above it.then you have to run sub speaker wires to the back of the sub + and -.Then hook up the speaker wire to your amp.It is better to use sub speaker wire because it should better.
