Do you ever just know the answer and than locate the information / sources to support your belief?

Yes. And when the source contains more info than I wish to type, I include a link to it so the reader can get the 'full story'. Plus there is the issue of credibility. Some folks won't believe unless they can consult what they perceive to be a 'trusted' or 'verified' source -- and I can understand that! I also like it when people list a link to a source because it often allows me to do some indepth reading on the subject, whereas answers given here may not have as much detail and/or fact.
