  • My happy place sadly no longer exists. It used to be in my old high school youth group room at my church before they remodeled it. It was small... at the most 30 of us could not so comfortably fit in there. It was painted this HORRIBLE yellow color. Really disgusting. On the one wall was this wonderful mural of sorts.. it was stick people holding hands in a circle around the cross. and the words "Where two or more are gathered in your name..." were written, the line was finished on the bottom but you could never see that because pillows were always piled up there... at one point I think we had a couch along that wall... couches pretty much encircled the room... we got rid of a few couches one year.... I felt that was a bad judgement call... the couches were gross. They were old couches people donated that teens have been using for the past 10 years. They were disusting. The ceiling had a whole in the wall that had had a piece of plywood over until that fell on someone's head one day... that was sooooo funny... at one point we decided to paint another wall... we put everyone's handprints on the wall. It was cool. At the same time we decorated the door with quotes. I could sit and read the door for hours... it was cool. We also added a huge hi-def TV at one point. That was also cool. ALMOST FORGOT THE DISGUSTING CARPET. So the room was carpeted... this ugly green-ish carpeting but that got so badly stained that another carpet was added... that carpet was so utterly disgusting. There was a few other things in the room,, a couple random lights (we loved playing with mood-lighting), a bookshelf, a closet-y thing in the corner filled with materials such as paper and pens but also more random stuff like games and CDs and balloons... for awhile there was kids stuff in there too, because at one point there was a nursery program in that room as well.... The room was disorderly and gross and... when they moved all the couches and started demo they found mold... lots of it. But the most comforting place to be in the entire world was sitting on one of those couches. We were outside having a barbecue one night and I remember going in and was completely by myself and sitting on those couches... I don't think I have ever felt more at peace. That is my happy place... if someone reminds me I'll add pics when I get home...
  • My "happy place" is sitting out on an Arkansas deck, on a cool, brisk evening ... smoking a fine Acid Ronin cigar and drinking a hot cup of coffee! I've spent many hours, sitting outside with the family, enjoying the natural beauty of Arkansas, and the "laid-back" pace to life there.

  • It's below my belly button and above my....Oh sorry! The dance studio. It's where I get it all out. I love, I laugh, I cry, I thrash, I collapse. Music soothes my soul and brings me great joy. Dancing sets me free and makes me happy. My happy place is where ever I can dance.
