Yes. It's one of the reasons I am adamant about being cremated. The though petrifies me. I'm a bit claustrophobic, though. I am uncomfortable sleeping in a room if I can't see at least a crack of light shining through under the door.

Only if the lid was shut. If the lid was open, I would quite happily sleep in a coffin. Must be like sleeping in a slightly comfier bath tub

i toss and turn to much i've probley flip the thing. definatly couldn't do it if the lid was shut. i think it'd be inresting to lay in one and see how it felt and if it was comfortable.

Yeah, I'd flip out. It's definitely a mental thing, because there's really no reason why. Just the thought of a dead person laying in a coffin is enough for me to be against it. As long as I'm breathing, coffins are a no-no.

Yes. I would be afraid that I would get stuck inside of it and I wouldn't have enough room to sleep anyway because I like to move around a lot in my sleep.

I used to know kid who slept in a coffin. He had his dad make it out of scrap wood, lined it in satin and everything, he let me sleep in it one time when I spent the night at his house So I can tell you from experience, coffins are very comfortable, I'm actualy considering getting one to replace my old futon.

i'd be willing. I wouldn't like the lid closed because I'm slightly claustrophobic, but i wouldn't mind it. it'd be a once in a life time experience but the only other time i'll be able to do it, I'll be dead.....

Yes because the space is too confined. Not enough room to move around in and it would be just plain scary. I enjoy sleeping in my own bed.

Yes. Like in a show I forgot what it was called, but a black boy was locked in a coffin and buried and his friends didn't find him. ;-; That's why you should be prepared with a cellphone, tube leading outside for you to scream help, etc. <=(sister's idea)

At my Boyfriends veiwing, It had been 5 days since Id sleep more than an hour or two at a time. and I always slept with my head on his chest, As I was holding him I felt safe and so comfortable as if he was just sleeping. Anytime there wasn't anyone up there, I would hold him. and I did actually doze off. but my thoughts the whole time was Plz let me get in with him and just sleep with him, so No In a case like that I wouldn't be scared at all!

It all depends. Is the lid going to be up or down? If it's up I might be fine. No way if it's closed. I'm closterphopic to some extent so that would not be cool.

I would be. Although... what scares us most is the fact that we've encrypted in our minds the stereotypical use of the coffin. If every one slept in a coffin, it wouldn't be considered what it is. So yes, I would be creeped out, mroeso than scared. Though we have no reason to be- unless we've had some sort of traumatic experience including a coffin.

Yes. I'm a LITTLE claustrophobic, but the space has to be really small. Just about coffin size. Kinda ruins my whole infatuation with vampires.

nope. actually i think it'd be cooler to have sex in a coffin. one of those ironic things. if i slept in one, id want it to be one of those cool memory foam coffins. maybe the ones where you can adjust the firmness.

Before I had come to terms with death and accepted as part of what to expect in life...I would have said 'yes'. However, as I've had several close family members die, I have come to understand and no longer fear death. Yes, there are things I can do to reduce the chances of death...but ultimately, it will happen. Change the things I can, accept those that I can't.

ONLY if the lid was chained & locked in the OPEN position, and there was no way I could get locked in. Other than that, FORGET IT !!!!!!! I figure there will be plenty of time to lie in a coffin after I'm gone. Why rush it ?

I wouldnt be afraid to as im slightly gothic and think it would be comfortable i would sometimes even bet it locked but make sure i had a way out if nececary hide a saw under the pillow

no i would not, like the idea...just dont actually bury me while im in there ok...oh and please make it black, shiney with mauve silk, feather pillow of same silk, and the cross on the lid upside down! No im not a satanist but i mean since i'd be in such a perverted situation to sleep in a coffin, i wanna twist it all the way through!!!!Now bring me my coffin.
