You brought back a great memory. Around 1950 I wrote to J. Edgar Hoover about how to join the FBI and he actually answered my letter and sent me a book on the FBI and their history. I wish that I still had it. It told about a lot of their cases like Pretty Boy Floyd, Baby Face Nelson, John Dillenger, etc. I was fascinated. But, didn't want to be an accountant or lawyer which at the time were the requirements. 1908.
