  • Telling the truth will set you "free" from a life of lying and then lying to cover other lies and so on and so on. Telling the truth also releases all that energy.
  • Well, you see, if you avoid doing things that get you sent to jail, telling the truth will not get you sent to jail! :)
  • its true. when questioned by a work supervisor about the missing laptop, one tells the truth and they get fired. Or tell a lie and stay hired. People would readily believe a lie and question the truth. they think the truth is a lie.
  • That's why you have the 5th amendment to protect you against self incrimination, like revealing how much you made last year on your tax return! As long as you refuse to tell them they can't hold it up in a court of law and cite it and use it against you, so keep your mouth shut!
