Unfortunately when life doesn't go as planned you might have to go back to your parents house. When I left my daughter's father I came home. I am 27 and planned on moving in out when I am done with school, but this summer is when it will happen.
-
I moved out at 17 1/2. I had been working for a year already. I bought my first home at 19 and unfortunately right now it is looking very likely that I will be temporarily moving back in with my parents. This at age 39 will be extremely difficult for me and my parents. I am going through a split with my partner of almost 7 years, and am also between jobs, I have no income so to speak of, therefore no other option available to me.

The first time, I was 18 when I moved out, and right after the baby was born, Hubby and I moved back in with my parents for a few months. He then got mad, stormed out and got himself killed. The second time was when I met my second husband, a year later (I was 21). That time worked, because we left Colorado and came to California.

I moved out when I was 18. I had been out of high school for 2 weeks and my dad & I got into a big fight, so I left. I moved in with my boyfriend and his parents. We moved out of their house shortly after that, and I have been out own my own since then. I don't think there is a specific age when someone should move out, I just think they should be self-supporting. My only thing is you should move out before you are 25. That is just too old to be with your parents.

I had pretty much moved out when I started college since I paid for all my tuition and expenses myself. After college, I spent 2 weeks living at my parents until I had a job and found an apartment. It was an awful job...I worked at a dry cleaners, but I only needed it until I found something better which took a few months. It was simply to pay the bills.
