  • The fact that it is
  • A quick look at history....In short, the truth is that it does .
  • Ostensibly, they are the cause of many wars. But I think if you look beneath the surface, you find the more usual causes: stubbornness, posturing, egotistical leaders, sometimes insane leaders, battling for resources, traditional tribal-like hatreds for another people. And then Religion is slapped on top of that to make it look like a more noble reason for waging that war.
  • Just the very plain fact that the hype over it is bigger than non-religious one. Religious wars make it seem that those that fight it are demonically insane which then makes other non-religious wars (political) seem reasonable. War is war and death is still death no matter by what means. RELIGIOUS WARS ARE JUST CREEPIER TO HIGHLIGHT and hence it gets more press. Nothing divides more than convictions ingrained in a person's soul.
  • Because they look at history without all the details. History has shown us that different religions can exist alongside each other up until some quasi-political agenda or oversized ego gets in the way. Everything can be a pretext- race, territory, culture, oil, gold diamonds. Religion has always been a more convenient banner. It puts a moral spine on what is obviously wrong. Many conflict resolution models always show that religion is the facade that we must address. We keep the sillyness of the religious facade even if its obviously a ruse. Humans have the immense ability of buy their own lies.
  • The Devil
  • I believe it's mainly the excuse,not the cause .
  • Because quite a number of them, in my experience, have already concluded that religion is a "bad thing," and are utilizing the fact that kings and princes have used religion as an excuse to go to war.
  • The truth is people have always done the same thing. HATE. Religion, color, sex, Nationality, economic status, exc. Like it or not we HATE. In a quote form a song "We satisfy our endless needs and justify bloody deeds in the name of destiny and in the name of god" (Eagles: The last Resort) All I am saying is that if we don't learn to live together it will be end of times for real. Take up a voice instead of a gun. The past is the past. we have a future. We have more opportunity now then ever before. Sorry but I believe in the human spirt!!!!
  • The fact that Christianity has been waging war in the name of their god since the beginning of time. And, now, the Muslims are taking over where they left off
  • They are piece of crap!
  • I live in the U.S. and by law there is supposed to be a separation of church and state. Yet when I look at my money it has "In God we trust" You might want to also factor in what god does that mean? Your God may very well be different than mine. Every war fought has had a reference to God. Even terrorism is being carried out in the name of the god they believe in. If I had one wish, God (Every god of every religion) Stop the killing and help us!!!
  • Logic, reason, research.
